The ILIOUPOLIS project is about the renovation of the living room in an 80’s apartment located in the area of ​​Ilioupolis, in Athens. On the occasion of the name of the wider area, the central idea of ​​the renovation, is the creation of an open room, where light will flood the space throughout the day. 

The kitchen and living room of this apartment are uniting and becoming the heart of the apartment where all four members of the family live together harmoniously. In the new space, there is a kitchen, a dinning table where family eat together, a cosy living room and finally, a space for kids to play. 

The new kitchen is the dominant element of the space. It is a linear and dynamic construction, 6 meters long. The used colors and materials, like wood, are a combination of timelessness and elegance and small references of them can be found in the rest of the apartment.
